About 2010 & 2011 resolutions


So many good things happened 
to me in 2010
I couldn't thank more to 
THE MERCY
I only have 2 dreams this year
but He granted me more than what 
I wish for!!
Of course I put efforts on what
I dreamed of
and pray

For 2011, what I want the most
is to be healthy
my health this year is quite bad
I had attacked by asthma every month
and disease that I never think that I will get infected
My immunity system has gone too low!!
So, my efforts to increase my immune system are


     Take vitamins consistently

 Eat immune boosted foods


  Workout regularly


          Clean house diligently(dust free house)

Reduced icy drink


Apart of make my health in check
my other resolutions are

- lose 8kgs and toned up
-move house (woah, it's hard because I started liking my current house coz the strategic location)

All in all, I have 3 resolutions for 2011
See I've been stepping up by 1 dream

Kulit cantik tiru macam saya

Nama pena - gagak di rimba GL for gorjeslah


Kali ni bercakap pasal kecantikan pulak, boring gak kalau asyik fitness je
Macam diketahui, kulit adalah organ terbesar pada manusia
Adalah sangat penting kita menjaga kesihatan dan kecantikan kulit kita (skema giler ayat haha)
Yang pertama mestilah untuk diri sendiri. Kalau kulit berjerawat dan bermasalah mesti tak selesa kan?
Lebur ribu riban nak buat treatment dan cari produk yang serasi.
Kedua, keyakinan diri, baru selesa nak bercakap dengan orang dan berjumpa orang. Tambah-tambah bila
kerja yang memerlukan untuk jumpa dengan orang. Tapi yang paling penting untuk mereka yang jual
produk kecantikan. Macam GL mesti tengok muka penjual tu okay ke tak, kalau hancus jugak memang
la mengutuk dalam hati hehehhe "elehh muka ko pon pecah, nak promote kat aku lak". Haaa ade ke customer yang sanggup beli regardless rupa penjual tu?
Ketiga, soal hygienic. GL penah diserang masalah jerawat tahun 2006 sebab berjangkit dengan roommate.
Yes, jerawat boleh berjangkit tau! Memang GL tak nak bercakap dengan orang sebab rasa muka kotor
gile dan takut bakteria jerawat GL hinggap kat muka orang lain.

So far, seumur hidup GL by far 2 kali je pernah ada masalah muka ni. First time masa cuti lepas SPM, kedua tahun 2006 tu la! Well, kulit GL bukan la cantik tip top gitu tapi pergi mana-mana mesti orang tanya
pakai apa, macam mana jaga kulit dan dapat la puji pujian. Alhamdulillah, TQ!! Kat sini nak kongsi sikit
tips dan penjagaan kulit yang GL ikut dan amalkan walaupun GL bukan la seorang yang rajin (kantoi disini)



1. Cleanse, tone & moisturize
Tips classic ni memang kat mana mana pon ada. Memang betul sebab muka kita memang terdedah dengan kotoran tambahan dengan environment sekarang ni. Tak kisah la produk apa janji serasi dengan kulit, tak berani GL nak rekomen any products  sebab produk A maybe sesuai ngan Miley Cyrus tapi tak sesuai ngan Demi Lavato
Produk B sesuai ngan Justin Bieber tapi tak sesuai ngan Miley Cyrus. Seeloknya buat 3 rutin
ni 2 kali sehari. Pagi dan sebelum masuk tidur. Cleanse tu biasalah untuk mencuci kotoran dan membuka
pores , toner untuk membuang kotoran yang tak dapat pencuci muka keluarkan dan untuk
kesegaran muka dan last sekali moisturize untuk beri kelembapan dan menutup semula pores. Keyword kat sini adalah guna produk yang sesuai dengan jenis kulit muka either normal, oily or dry..

2. Tanggalkan mekap sebelum tidur
Berbalik pada tips nombor satu. Kalau tak cuci, memang muka akan naik white head dan black head
sometimes jerawat. Sebab apa head head nie?? Sebab mekap tu akan masuk dlm pores dan menyebabkan
pores tersumbat dengan bahan kimia.

3. Minum banyak H2O
Walaupun kajian mengatakan minum air banyak takde kaitan dengan kekeringan kulit tapi GL is a firm
believer that air adalah medium yang penting untuk melancarkan sistem badan dan helps blood circulation.
Bila blood circulation baik, kulit akan glowing mowing. GL minum 4 liter air kosong sehari sometimes lebih.

4. Fish & nuts
Diet ikan sangat bagus untuk slim dan kulit sebab ikan mengandungi good fat (omega 3) yang membuat kulit lembut dan lembap. Moreover ikan dan kekacang mengandungi protein yang banyak. Sekarang kan
orang tengah kecoh dengan produk kolagen, ha kalau nak tahu, kolagen tu adalah dari protein la. Semua ikan bagus tapi GL rekemen ikan haruan, tinggi protein yang dapat membina sel2 baru. Kekacang pula
seperti almond dan walnut bukan kacang kuda goreng tu! GL memang suka makan ikan, most of the days makan ikan, ayam dan sehari dua je makan daging. Ikan haruan tu memang makan 2x sebulan. 2 ekor sekali
hadap muehehehe (share ngan husband la)

5. Teh
GL amalkan minum green tea dan teh yang dari bunga tu (tak reti nak explain). Green tea mengandungi agent anti oksida yang boleh melambatkan aging dan membuat badan suam suam kuku. Teh yang dari bunga tu GL amalkan chrysanthymum dan rose. Will blog about them later. Owh nak buat teh ni please
jangan letak gula..

6. Fruits & vegetables
Tak perlu nak sexplain further kan, majoriti tahu 2 jenis ciptaan Allah nie kaya dengan vitamins dan minerals. Sometimes bila GL rajin, GL akan blend fruits and vegetables jadi juice, tak letak gula jugak.
Kegemaran GL, carrot, tomato dan green apple blend buat juice.

7. Exercise
Melancarkan peraliran darah dan pengangkutan (haha) oxygen ke sel-sel kulit. Bila badan kita berpeluh,
toxin akan dikeluarkan via pores. Sweating effectively cleans the pores from dirt, dead skin cells and excess sebum (minyak muka). I love my face right after working out, sangat sangat sangat glowing!!

8. Mineral mekap
Selain mekap biasa, GL pakai gak mineral mekap. Mineral mekap ni boleh bawak tidur sebab kandungan dia
mineral semula jadi dan takde bahan kimia. Brand favourite GL is Bare Escentuals. Boleh didapati dari Sephora.com. Few years ago ada kedai di Mid Valley yang carry this line. Now tak sure




9.  Scrub & sun screen
Scrub seminggu sekali untuk mengeluarkan kotoran kotoran yang terbenam dalam muka, cari yang ada beads dan gentle for skin. After scrub jangan lupa pakai moisturizer. Pakai sunscreen bila keluar rumah. Penting gila untuk elak kan kanser kulit, freckles, kedutan dan macam2 lagi. Untuk scrub GL guna brand Cosway dan sunscreen, SkinCeuticals.


Tu je la kot yang dapat GL kongsi. Tips lain GL tak tulis sebab tak amalkan spt jgn stress, tidur awal etc... Definisi kulit cantik bagi GL bukanlah kulit yang putih gebu tetapi kulit yang tak kira warna apa pun putih ke cerah ke gelap ke gelita ke janji takde masalah kulit dan tona warna yang sekata.

Vacaycay

yelah nak pindah rumah baru tahun depan Insya Allah
pindah umah adalah salah satu azam tahun baru
kami laki binik
Kalau ikut priority aku, kitchen ngan bedroom
mesti lengkap dulu dari yang lain lain
Sambil shopping dapat ler
romen jalan jalan
Aku ni memang suka berjalan

Back to fitness
Semalam malas gila nak gi gym
serious malas tapi saiko kan diri
pegi pegi pegi dahla hari Khamis
tak pegi
Alhamdulillah menjadi gak workout ku
So far turun 2 kg

Ok please read
Aku memang target turun sikit2
bukan sebulan 5 kg
Taknak drastic sebab harmful kat badan
lagi pon aku bagi setahun kat diri ni
untuk lose weight ngan tone
Kira awal tahun 2012 mantop abis la
Hee satu lagi azam tahun 2011

Aku cakap nak turun 8 kg
then dah turun 2 kg, 6kgs to go la kan
diikutkan by March or mid April dah tercapai la azam tu
tapi kena fit and toned

Buff, Not?

Some women always hesitate
and reluctant to do weight
training
because they afraid of becoming
muscular like men
No, you won't be muscular
eventhough you lift the heaviest
weight !!!
It is because women don't have
much growth hormones like men do
FYI, they (men) also sometimes had to rely
on steroid (yeah you heard me baby!) to make
their muscles big

This was me when
I did weight training
I trained like a man, I had
gym partners where we supported each other
and challenged each other
I'm the only girl but I got to do
what they got to do
If they squat 20 reps, I'll also
squat 20 reps (just lighter weight)
If they do pull up, I also had to do pull up

So girls, just put aside a little while
your cardio equipment
and do weight training
dumbell, kettleball etc

After 3 days of indulging 
delicious-but-high calorie-laden foods
maybe I consumed like 5k cals
per day??
I need to cut back
Seems like when the weekend comes
I hit indulge button especially
when I go on vacation

If your not into Brown Rice



I know that some of you
can't tolerate with brown rice at all
the smell, the taste is kinda yucky
When it's boiling in the rice cooker
it emits smell that I don't know how to
describe
But I can eat almost everything
drink everything even the smell quite
stink
even the taste quite gross as long
as it healthy
hahaha
I'm a health nut!

I want to introduce
a brand of good white rice
The total carbs is less 70%
less than other brands
This rice is good for diabetic
patient and those who are on diet!!!

The price is kinda expensive
because the rice is only can be found
in India
The brand is Beras Taj Mahal Faiza Herba Ponni
other brand of herba ponni also do the justice
but I just find cap Faiza only

Try them, the texture is soft
Better still, BROWN RICE is the best!!

other parts are okay
I just feel the sore during the training
and I'm not bringing it home
But chest workout is really 
pain in the chest!!!

The Ugly Truth

Sometimes I feel that
I want to abolish the term
of "calorie counting" in my life
but I can't
I'm not a lucky girl/woman who 
is blessed with high metabolism or
serious athlete who train almost
of the day, everyday
I'm just a super ordinary people,
petite and just depend on workout and
good diet (clean eating) to have high metabolism
My BMR is only like 10+++, while the other taller
girl is above 1200 of BMR
So petite and ahem cute people like me
have to put on effort double or triple times!!

A quick fact
Tall for girl/woman in Asia is 5'4" and above, below that
is considered as...
well, NOT tall :)

My meals were quite good
but it lasted until night when
I went for a movie
and bought chocolate bubble milk,
marshmallow and chocolate
Yeah, I smuggled them inside cinema

Guilty Pleasure Waka Waka Eh

I can refrain myself
from chips, icecream, cupcake
cake or anything sweets because
I'm not really a sweet tooth person
But this one is a little piece of heaven
on earth to me
Can't say NO
Can't say DON'T
Because it is so IRRESISTIBLE 

Yeah, CHOCOLATE
I love chocolate very damn much!!!
Chocolate is like my best friend
I need it during my ups and downs
Able to make my mood stable
Able to cheer me up

Chocolate not only tastes good to most people
it has also been found to trigger the release of 
endorphins in our bodies
I found a box of dark chocolate almond in my 
refrigerator and I can't stop
munching them!
Chocolate + Almond = Heaven
Eventhough study shows that chocs
won't make you fat
BUT
sugar in the chocolate does!!!

Some facts about chocolate
  • Chocolate can reduce sensitivity to pain
  • Eating chocolate is associated with feelings of comfort and contentment
  • Chocolate may also induce relaxation
  • Chocolate consumption and the release of endorphins can help with depression

My first time joining the class
I didn't want to use any weight
because little bit scared
So I went to the stage to talk to the instructor

Me: "Hi, I'm first timer..I just want to use the bar with no weights, can I?"
Instructor : " No, you should add some weight, then only can feel muscles burning"
Me : (WTH look)
Instructor: " Nevermind, pick the lightest plates for starter

So, I took the lightest plate (1.25kg each side)
Then he came to me and put 2 more plates and mat


Body Pump is a weight training class
Train every muscles
From row to squat
And kickback and curl
A very good class
Surely, I will add more weights
next time
